Creating your own Wi-Fi hotspot with your mobile for other devices is far safer, as mobile data is encrypted. TIP: using mobile data as a hotspot does use more battery power.

But if you do not have phone signal or limited battery, using a VPN is the next best thing.

TIP: When travelling, I always carry a power bank and I keep one in the car. Don’t wait until your car breaks down when your phone is on 2% to think about it.
